You know how your parents are always bugging you to write in your journal if not then play along. I have been thinking about how blogging is a kind of a journal, maybe not as personal or spiritual, depending on the type of blog. Nevertheless the definition of journal, and i Quote is "A daily record of news and events of a personal matter." end quote. yes i know what you're thinking 'you don't write daily though', i hardly write in my journal so what do you expect. Back to the point. If i just saved all my posts and put them on a flash drive when i die they can just plug it in and there you have it. The reason i think this might be better is well they can actually read it, they can see clear pictures of you and they have it all in the palm of there hand. If we act now we can catch up with the future generations where they'll so much more advanced. they could store all the journals on one hard drive and they could sort it much better, think of it your blog has an archive right ? Does your journal even if it has a table of contents do you really want to work to find what your looking for? which brings me to technology and how it will take over our lives making us that much more lazy every day. Think of all the things we can to right now. Talk to your friend in japan on the computer then your mom calls and you don't even have to reach into your pocket to answer. Once again how lazy can we get!? now I'm not dissing technology, no no, just the opposite actually we have come from room sized computers that can calculate a few math problems to computers that sit on your lap and tell you all about your friends. And think of what is coming! Imagine this, little bobby comes up to you with an astonished face, "Guess what they made me do in Detention today?!" you ask him, "Read from a real Paperback book! Then i lost my spot and she told me to just flip back to chapter 20, like i know where it is or something, and get this they don't have a search option there, nothing! it wasn't even electronic!" and he is so surprised at the ancientness of it quiet the different from how we are awe struck at the technology of today. or there is the situation of little bobby complaining about how his new friend only has a Ps3 and there is hardly any movement reaction and there is no real pain and when you die you just "restart" and it's hardly realistic if it is at all. My point is Just think next time you hurry and jump on the computer or sit down to watch a recorded program on your T.V. or drive in your heated car or all of the endless things be thankful at this time of giving and a Merry Christmas to all
